Baked Caramel Corn 5 qt. popped popcorn
1 c. butter
2 c. packed brown sugar
1/3-1/2 c. corn syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla (optional)
Put popcorn in a large roasting pan. Mix together butter, sugar, syrup and salt. Boil together for 5 minutes. Mix in soda. Pour over popcorn; mix well. Place in slow oven (250 degrees) for 1 hour. Stir every 15 minutes. Makes 5 quarts.
